Ashwagandha is an herb native to India & North Africa for centuries people have been using all the different parts of the plant including its berries and flowers as a health food claiming to have fantastic therapeutic qualities.
The name Ashwagandha comes from the smell that the plant has when its been dried and then used as a health supplement, the translation literally means “like horse” as the in its raw state it has a similar odour. Our Ashwagandha products come in a convenient vegan friendly capsule, easy to swallow without any taste or odour.
Here at Ampura we have decided to use Ashwagandha KSM 66.
Ashwagandha KSM 66 is produced using a “Green Chemistry” which means that its extracted without the use of chemicals or solvents. A cleaner, greener, health food supplement extracted from the roots. The flowers from the Ashwagandha plants are generally used in topical ointments and balms which we will be sourcing in the near future.
People have been using Ashwagandha to help with psychological and physiological challenges of today’s modern society and have reported many health benefits including:

According to a review in 2011 several studies for both Parkinson’s and Huntingdon’s disease using Ashwagandha in the early stages can offer reduced symptoms.
